Pagewood Botany 2 - Heffron Hawks 2 The history of Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hide

Motivation at 200% and everyone focus on the warm up. In front of us, Heffron Hawks, the first game against them, and the most attractive game of the first round of the league.
Tough game against a big rival, but the result doesn't reflect what happen most part of the time. After 15 minutes of incredible fotball, Pagewood was ahead thanks to Ross, that did a masterclass of soccer. The first half was perfect, except for a big chance of Heffron, that first the post, and after, Sam keep the score 2-0.
The second half start with Pagewood a bit groggy and Heffron start to show is cards. They score 2 goals from nowhere in 10 bad minutes of the reds, after that, words and words, chances at the end, a penalty that never came, a outside goal... 2-2 and a bad taste. We still undefeated, but the team worked hard for deserve 3 points.

First 15 min, a hurricane called Ross

After two or three minutes, Pagewood score the first goal, Ross, drop a bomb when the goalkeeper was walking back...to late for him, 1-0 and Pagewood was dancing salsa. Jason and Marco broke his legs pressing and playing with Ross, Ian, Pete...

Cam play to from the defence, Marco stop, turn around and toca to Beau in the space, Beau sprint, broke the defender to the left, shot to score...Post! The ball touch the corner of the goal, after an amazing effect... but the crane is there, he fights, the defence try to kick the ball...buuuut Ross is there and intercept it, the Scottish stop the ball, put his head up, does a quick touch, shoot....Goaaaaaaaaaaal!!! What a missile! The goalkeeper had nothing to do against that! Was the second goal, a very nice goal with a lot of participation, what comfirm how everyone is there! Ross today did what he does best, take the lead!

In the defence, everything was on his place, as usuall, with a massive Cam, and great Mikee, that play along with Pete, this couple did a great game today. Midfield in order with Ian and Ross, and the wings playing fast as trains. The red's got Heffron Knocked out in the first 45 min. Marco, Mikee, Jason, boom, boom, boom, but they never when in. Unfortunely the reds will need those goals after.

On a positive side, the posession was for the red squad. El toca toca, is the song that this team play. As the captain said, playing like the first 45 we will definetly make it. Everybody know what to do, when to run and when to pass. Great job Pagewood

Second half...siesta, and other classic symptoms...

Superman has his cryptonite, a weak point, and the red's aparently has one too. The first 10 min of the second half. Is becoming something to habitual, and it's a very unwelcome symptom.
What happen there, was that the team didn't find deepness on his play, no passes in the space, and less circulation, also, Heffron Hawks put an extra gear and start to play more confident, also the put the pressure higher...and tough.

2-1 Let's make it funny!

The game start to be a little bit out of control, because the referee was very permissive, with Heffron "on the edge" tackle game ...and the red's where a bit out of the game. And of course, what was coming next was coming with a little bit of "Mourinho" Style. 2-1 and the nerves a bit higher for all the team. The whole squad was unconfortable in the field, they where in a position that they never found before. Under pressure. The game was not the game that Pagewood had plan....

2-2 Ok, it's not funny anymore

Too many words, tackles, and the machinery on stand by. The right back grab the ball, and start to run, nobody stop him, and after a little bit of drama, 2-2. What the heck was happen there? That was a slap on the face. They shoot 3 times, and scored 2 goals.
A voice in the horizon was yelling "wake up pagewooooooood"

Unnecessary business and back to the routine again

Can't happen again what happen in the last game. We all lost it. We all get out. We spend too much time fighting, blaming and yelling to the referee. After the 2-2, we get the control again. Ross and Beau destroy the defence. The team had more chances, specially Jason, and a penalty that never was given. We can talk about the 3-2 in outside, but we will never know. But the penalty was a penalty of notebook.
After all, we still undefeated, and we where better most part of the game. Heffron doesn't has 15 points by coincidence, the have a good and serious defence, and a ordered midfield, they play strong without refuse in the other side the possesion. A draw against the other big fella of the competition with the permission of olympic eagles.

We still having a game in hand...

1-0 Ross 2-0 Ross 2-1 Heffron 2-2 Heffron

Sam 8: Faith. It's comfortable to have a goalkeeper like Sam, he save the 1-1, and was perfect in the small area. He couldn't do anything in the goals
Stu 6: Injured, he had to stop after a clash, he played after, but not at 100%
George 6: Boss, he command the defence in his first big challenge, good game and very solid on the tackle
Cam 8: Massive game of the defender. Best partner, always offering options with or without the ball, he play with order and discipline. Best perfomance of this season
Mikee 7: Serious. Great game of the left back, playing like one with Pete, covering, and using the ball with sense.
Ian 8: Far west, is like the fuck&*% Clint Eastwood, he play's the good, the bad and the ugly, Pass, assist, defence and always putting two balls in the game.
Ross 9: Leader, he's the compass of the team, is in a great moment. He move the team fast, slow, and always creating the best chance...do you remember the last post? When I wrote "he will score?" Here you have it.
Pete 7: Loyal. Perfect game of the left wing. He never lost a position, and helped Mikee all the time. Attacking was a good option and create a mess on his side.
Kenny 6: Again he played in two different positions, on the wing and on the left back. As usuall, always serious and good with the ball. He compensate his lack of "experience" defending with a massive ball control
Jason 6: Unlucky, he participate activelly in the game, and had a few chances. Always generous with the ball, but this game the crane came back empty.
Marco 6: Passador! Like the name says, he was master of the one/two, and was the first men to pressure. Not had many luck in attack, but he understand how to move the ball quick.
Foff 6: Tough. He score a goal that could perfectly be the 3-2 but was offside...maybe....apart, fight like a beast in attack.
Beau 7: Catapult. Like the old machinery of the medieval age, he catapult balls to the area, and most of them with danger. Perfect partner for Ross. Faster than anyone.
Danny 6: He played in different positions, giving his best in defence, unfortunely he had too many work to take care off, and didn't progress much in attack
Evan 6: Out, he start the game playing good as usual, touching..., but a business in the second half with a lot of people involved leave him out for avoid more problems.
